Introduction

Western Graduate School of Psychology has a long-standing tradition of quality and excellence since the school's inception in 1977. Western Graduate School of Psychology grants three degrees: Doctor of Psychology, Ph.D. in Psychology and Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. Graduates of this school meet the eligibity requirements of California Board of Behavioral Science and California Psychology Board. Once the degree has been awarded graduates may sit for licensure and upon successful passage, graduates can become licensed Psychologists or Marriage and Family Counselors in the State of California.

Western Graduate School of Psychology is not active at this time, however, it is in the process of being reactivated with an updated curriculum using modern technology.

Curriculum

The graduate program is designed to combine a broad foundation and background in clinical psychology with extensive training in specific areas within the discipline in order to provide the student with the necessary knowledge and skills for successful professional practice. Students are exposed to a wide-variety of theoretical orientations and modes of approach in clinicl psychology through a faculty composed primarily of practicing professionals who bring relevant clinical considerations into the classroom. Each student is encouraged to develop an individual approach which will be the most effective for him or her.
